Video: NYPD Traffic Agent Explain Ticket Quota Enforcement

How can you not like this guy? A NYPD Traffic Agent (or Brownie) was captured on video explaining how his supervisors enforce a ‘ticket quota’, while skirting the illegality of it.

The video was captured last week on 14th Avenue and 44th Street in Boro Park, as the agent was writing a ticket. One person pulled out his cell phone and recorded the conversation a group of people had with the agent.

“They want you to write more tickets?” the person filming the conversation asked. “Of course” responded the traffic agent, “And what if you don’t?” “we get in trouble.”

In a cool and conversational manner the agent explained that if he were to be fired for not meeting a ‘quota’ that would be discriminatory and illegal, instead they dock after an employee’s ’annual leave’ which they earn.

“That means that if everybody obeys the law and pays the tickets, it is your fault? You get in trouble?” asked the motorist, “Yes!” responded the traffic agent.

at the request of the agent the video has been removed

This is the reason why there are so-many non-legal traffic tickets given out and if you appeal, they ignore it. the money goes to the Mayor’s campaigns against the Bris, against Williamsberg store owner, the soda campaign and the ltest in his goffo’s annuncing that the Boston marathon bomber terrorist was a maytar to gun violence.

  • Also happended on 14th Avenue

I saw a COP giving a ticket (14th Ave., bet 41st and 42nd) while he was parked only about 5 ft from a hydrant! So I called out,”Yeh, do as I say, not as I do,” and I pointed to his car, then the hydrant.
He kind of chuckled and said,”yeh, give that guy double.”
A couple of days later I asked a policewoman about it. Just as you can make a citizens arrest, can you give the police a ticket? She said no, but you can make a report.

    • THE LAW

      your very cute

while giving you a ticket isn’t an emergency the law allows active police personnel the legal ability to do things you may not be allowed to do including but not limited to blocking a fire hydrant.

#6: Wake up and get real, you can still be parked legally and get a ticket and then when you appeal they throw the appeal into the garbage. The police are instructed to look for, especially, out of state plates and rent a cars because then they can get away with their illegality and follow Mayor Bloomberg’s ticket quota system
