Boruch Dayan Hoemes: Shneur Zalman Pevzner, 22, OBM

With great sadness and pain, we inform you of the untimely passing of Hatomim Shneur Zalman Pevzner, OBM, son of Rabbi Yosef Yitzchok and Rivka Pevzner, veteran Chabad emissaries and directors of the Sinai Educational Center in Paris, France. He was 22 years old.

Young Zalmy passed away this morning after succumbing to a horrible illness, which he had battled for over a year. Recently, as his condition worsened, his friends rallied together and launched a campaign for the wider Lubavitch community to take upon themselves Hachlotos Tovos (good resolutions) for his recovery.

He is survived by his parents, Rabbi Yosef Yitzchak and Rivka Pevzner, and siblings: Chaim Mordechai Pevzner, Nechama Dina Bluming, Menachem Mendel Pevzner, Avraham Baruch Pevzner, Alti Majesky, Chaya Mushka Piekarski, Chani Pevzner and Arye Pevzner.

The Levaya will take place tonight in Paris, leaving from the Sinai Educational Center at 6:30pm, and from there will make its way to Eretz Yisroel for burial.
