Boruch Dayan Hoemes: Rabbi Yankel Katz, 83, OBM
With great sadness and pain we inform you of the passing of Rabbi Yaakov Dov Hakohen Katz OBM, eldest of the Roshei Yeshivos, and longtime Rosh Yeshiva of the Central Tomchei Temimim Lubavitch in Kfar Chabad. He was 83 years old.
He is survived by his wife Esther and children Chana Mishkin (Bnei Brak, Israel), Batsheva Deren (Pittsburgh, PA), Rabbi Shmuel Katz (Buffalo Grove, IL), and Devorah Prus (Kfar Chabad, Israel).
The Levaya will take place Sunday in Bnei Brak, Israel.
