Boruch Dayan Hoemes: Reb Yaakov Elberg, OBM
With sadness we inform you of the passing of Reb Yaakov Elberg, OBM, of Crown Heights, at the age of 76.
Reb Yaakov moved to the United States from his native Georgia while it was still part of the Soviet Union. He was successful in his business endeavors, and utilized his successes to give a lot of Tzedaka and support many Jewish institutions.
He is survived by his wife, Esther, and children: Reb Eliyahu Elberg of Queens, NY; Reb Reuvain Elberg of Crown Heights, Mrs. Tamar Pewsner of Cederhust, NY and Reb Sholom Elberg of Queens, NY; as well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
The Levaya will take place Sunday, 10:00am at Shomrei Hadas Chapels in Boro Park. It will pass by 770 at 10:45am, on its way to Montefire Cemetery in Queens for burial.
The family will be sitting Shiva at 1281 Carroll St. [between Brooklyn and New York Aves.] in Crown Heights.
