Boruch Dayan Ha’emes: Reb Moshe Goodman, OBM
With great sadness we inform you of the passing of R’ Moshe Goodman of Melbourne, Australia, 63. He was born in Riga, Latvia during the times of communism, and together with his family lived as Lubavitcher Chassidim under the watchful eye of the KGB.
In Australia, he davened and learned at Yeshivah Shule and personified the mitzvah of Hachnosas Orchim. His love of learning and for his family were exemplary.
His levaya was Sunday afternoon at the Chevra Kadisha Cemetary. His wife Gita, sons Eli – shliach in Long Beach NY, Rafi and Shimon, daughter Shoshy Blachman and brother Yosef Gutman from Kfar Chabad are sitting shiva at 372 Glen Eira Rd., Caulfield in Melbourne.

A CHOSID FROM THE OLD SCHOOL
reb moshe was the real deal.davened 3 times a day with a minyan,was a member of many shiurim groups – both in nigleh and chassidus,the type that never missed.worked very very hard to support his family;
and above all,always showed them what it means to be a role model of a frumer -emeser- chassidisher yid;not measuring the chassid by the color of his hat or the length of his kapote,or how loudly he proclaims his hiskashrus—but rather by his degree of real mesiras nefesh,true yiras sho’myim.and genuine ahavas yisroel.
may his dear rebbetzin and lovely children continue to cherish these values,and only know from now on tov HANIREH V’HANIGLEH.
AMEN
