The Or Lachayal organization, under the leadership of Rabbi Menachem Ofen, went with volunteers to the south of Israel near the Gaza border to elevate the morale of the IDF soldiers stationed there.
The soldiers enjoyed barbecue, pizza and all kinds of refreshments, and many of them put on Tefilin. Pairs of Tzitzis and Sifrei Tehilim were distributed as well.

just this past summer we sponsored a BBQ for a base for my sons ninth birthday
he will never forget that nine chayilim put on tefillin with him and rabbi ofen
after that experience my son has a great rsespect for mivtza teffilin and the rebbes love for every soldier
