Shavuos on a Wednesday, a Boon for Released Time
With the holiday of Shavuos being on a Wednesday, each child, of the more than 1,000 children attending Released Time across the greater New York area, received a personalized Tehilim with their Hebrew names.
The Tehilims were distributed, this past Wednesday, by the hard-working instructors who volunteer their time to ensure yidishkait for the homes and families of the Jewish public school children.
Additionally, the instructors, organized ice cream parties and readings of the Asseres Hadibros for the children and their families for the first day of shavuos, as the first day of Shavuos will be on Wednesday.
More than 20 groups of bochurim will be going out on Wednesday, the first day of Shavuos and walking as much as 10 miles to run these programs.
Released Time would like to thank the instructors for their continuous dedication and the sponsors for making these programs possible.
