Boots That Leave Swastika Imprints Recalled
A California company has recalled a brand of boots after it was reveled on social media that the soles inadvertently leave behind swastika imprints.
The phenomenon was revealed by a user of the web forum Reddit, who uploaded a photo of the imprints to Imgur. That photo went viral and was viewed more that 2 million times.
The Polar Fox boots are made and sold by Conal International Trading Inc. When issuing the voluntary recall, a manager at Conal called the footprint pattern unintentional.
The product page for the boots has been removed from the company’s website.
