Lubavitcher in Critical Condition after Stabbing Attack
A Lubavitcher man was stabbed by a Palestinian terrorist and critically wounded while sitting in a restaurant with his family in the Giva’at Zeev neighborhood in Jerusalem. The public is asked to say Tehillim for Menachem Mendel ben Chana Yehudis.
The terror attack occurred on Route 436 near the Givonim junction in Jerusalem. The victim – a Lubavitcher Chossid – was sitting in a restaurant with his wife when the terrorist, an 18 year old Palestinian teen, stabbed the victim in the back.
Bystanders chased the terrorist and apprehended him a short distance from the scene of the attack. While fleeing he threw his knife at one of his pursuers and lightly injuring him.
The victim was rushed to the trauma center at the Shaare Zedek Medical Center in Jerusalem in serious and unstable condition. He was taken into the operation room.
A short while later doctors said that he was ‘very lucky’, and that there was no injuries to any of the vital organs. He is currently recovering in the intensive care unit and the public is asked to please say Tehillim for Menachem Mendel ben Chana Yehudis.

By the way, Giv’at Ze’ev is not a neighborhood of Jerusalem. Rather, it is a large independent municipality in the territories, 10 KM north of Jerusalem, very close to Ramallah. My wife has a sister there, so I know the place.
