NYC e-Bike Speed Limit Takes Effect This Week
If an e-bike or e-scooter is your preferred mode of transportation, get ready to ride a little slower through the streets of New York City.
The 15 miles per hour speed limit for e-bikes and e-scooters is set to take effect in the five boroughs on Friday. The speed limit will now match that of stand-up e-scooters.
The measure, announced by New York City Mayor Eric Adams over the summer, matches that of e-bike limits in other parts of the world, like the European Union.
