Tzfatim Apologize for the Shomrim Six Blood Libel

Purim 2011: In a stunning turn of events, Mendel Hendel offered a public apology for the blood libel and the ensuing hardships that he and his cronies inflicted upon the six Shomrim members who were ultimately found not guilty of the charges in court.

“On behalf of all members of the Tzfati faction, we hereby offer our sincere and heartfelt apology for the vicious mesirah that we perpetrated against six innocent members of Shomrim.

“We have since come to our senses and realize the error of our ways. We fully understand that putting six selfless community volunteers and their families through unspeakable life-changing and financial hardship is unforgivable and that we will be scarred by this fiasco for the remainder of our lives.

“People who sacrifice their time, safety and family life to help their fellow community member without expecting any reward or gratitude deserve our support and appreciation, and not the despicable treatment that they were forced to endure.

When reached for comment, no Shomrim coordinators or members were available. They were all preoccupied with community assistance activities.

  • GET OVER IT!

“THE CASE IS OVER, SO GET OVER IT”

“JUST FORGET IT; LET IT GO ALREADY, YOU GOING TO CARRY THIS WITH YOU YOUR ENTIRE LIFE?”

Since we are forgetting about things, let’s just forget about being Jewish and everything that being Jewish stands for…Let’s see…
Were celebrating the holiday of Purim, telling a story about an evil man who wanted to wipe out the Jews etc… A THING OF THE PAST, LET’S GET OVER IT, WE IN THE YEAR 2010, MOVE ON. FOR G-DS SAKE, HAMAN HAS BEEN DEAD FOR HUNDREDS OF YEARS NOW! WE ARE FREE!

I think that we can learn from the story of purim that when yidin show ahavas yisroel towards one another; the ensueing results are far more proactive than the selfish bickering often exhibited. I look forward to hearing more good news regarding the Chabad community working together to spread the light of chassidus chutza!
