Ben-Abou Buys 770
Purim 2011: In his ongoing quest to buy out every commercial property in Crown Heights, Itzik Ben-Abou, the owner of Kol Tuv, Empire Kosher and Kingston Pizza purchased has purchased 770.
“We currently have a monopoly on lower and middle Crown Heights with Empire Kosher and Kol Tuv”, a spokesman said, so logic would dictate that it was necessary to have an even larger operation in the Eastern Parkway part of Crown Heights. And since 770 is the largest building in the area, it was a natural decision.”
Although investors have lined up for the opportunity to have a stake in the new venture, many are holding off until the new owners overcome the largest hurdle which no one to date has been successful doing – getting its current inhabitants out.
