The Inauguration Farbrengen Of The Newly Elected Rabonim

As the bonfires burned and people danced members of the Va’ad HaKohol sat down along with the Moro DeAsro R. Osdoba and the newly elected R. Segal and many Bochurim and members of Anas”h for a Farbrengen in which R. Osdoba presented R. Segal with the “Ksav Rabonus”.

THIS IS WHAT HAPPENS WHEN RABBONIM ARE ELECTED UNDER CORRUPT CIRCUMSTANCES THERE ARE ALREADY PROBLEMS IN THEM BEING UNITED… THE PEOPLE OF CORWN HEIGHTS, THE REBBES SCHUNAH NEED TO DEMAND THAT THERE BE FAIR NEW PROPER ELECTIONS THE WAY THAT THE REBBE WANTS!!!
PEACE WAS SO CLOSE BUT WAS FOILED BY THOSE WITH ALTRERIOR INTERESTS…. THERE IS NO REASON THAT THE MAJORITY SHOULD BE SUBJECT TO THE ILL WISHES OF THE MINORITY!!!
WE NEED TO DEMAND NEW AND FAIR ELECTIONS NOW!!!

there were rumors going back and forth all day regarding whether Inauguration was canceled or not , indeed I know that one at least one of the two said he would like to try and see if somethings could be worked out before hand…

I am under 30 and I respect and honor ALL the rabbonim that have been elected. R’ Osdoba is a fantastic Rav who has helped myself and my family and others in CH for years. He is the emes in CH and we would be a lot better off not letting politics, Detroit, $, ex-Vaad members, letters Krause, terrorists etc… get in our way of following the only active Rav of our original Holy Beis Din.

Ps. – There were mashpiim there – R’ Goldberg even can be seen in the photos.

Right now is the best time to make PEACE in the community, since the main issue was about kashrus (and Rabbi Y.A. SHWEI Shalita had "MESSIRUS NEFESH"over this),so right now is the best time to take care on it, now that there is 5 Rabonim they are a very strong power, with 5 Rabonim, they will defenatly have the power to sraighten out Kashrus or any other issues , in fact with 5 Rabonim ,if they decide to get rid of Yossi Brook, they have the power to do so,this BEIS DIN could become a "DUGMA CHAYA" for the whole world , It is in my opinion the TZAV-HASHAA to do so in order to save the community . If only Rabbi A.Y. Shwei Shalita will agree to it ,He could save and build up the community, Rabbi Shwei Please ,instead of further fights and courts that you rightfully strated, Please look whats good for the community and be MEVATER for the sake of our childern and our community ,IT IS IN YOUR HANDS. The whole community will grately appriciate you, you will become MISHICHMOI VOMAALO,and our childern and the comunity will be saved vSHOLOM AL ISROEL

    WE DEMAND A PUBLIC APOLOGY!
Now that you guys just found out what the corrupt Badaz really is – which for the past 18 years we knew and felt this all along – we (meaning the Rebbes Chassidim; the 450 families in Crown Heights) demand from you a public apology! This is what we are Tayning all along.
This is how they dealt with "burying Fischer", this is how the Badaz fought against Aguch and Merkos and everything what the Rebbe stands for!
Wake up and smell the coffee – but a public apoligy is in place.

And about all the waisted paper that has been going around the last few months,
The only paper that I go care to read is the Devar Malchose (the real one) with the Chetase and Rambam.
about that I wonder, why is it that I most go searching like a mad man to get one of those, when so much paper is being waisted i.e. they (the CHBD and the CHJCC) sould start printing more usefull stuff.

    Open letter to Rabbi Ozdoba,
What took place last night should send a strong message to you. The public is not interested in seeing fight Rabbi Shwei. All these attempts to use the enemies of the Beis Din in an alliance to destroy Rabbi Shwei have dismally failed. What you have succeeded though in doing with the Help of Rubashkin , is to completely destroy the Beis Din to shreds. No one from either side has any respect for any member of the Badatz including yourself. A din tora is now meaningless , a psak din is meaningless. You have totally blinded yourself with hatred and with the attitude of tomus nafshi im plishtim have completely self destructed. However, you are so blind that unfortunately you and Rubashkin will continue this fight untill youvetotally self destructed. Do NOT attempt to blame Rabbi Shwei as it wont fly. He is an innocent victim of your vicious attacks since his only crime was to expose that the Emperor has no clothes. As a result you went on to brutally attack him, first with the help of Brook and now brook and Rubashkin together. Please, give it up. Start by invalidating the fraudulent election and reach out to make peace with Rabbi Shwei. Yes , its true that Rabbi Shwei has proven that CHK is not worth the paper its printed on, however, you know very well that it is true. Throw out Brook and give Kashrus back to the Kehila. Bring Rabbi Shwei in as an equal Rav Hamachshir and you will see CHK will regain its respect and most importantly both the Rabonim will gain in respect. You will gain the respect of Rabbi Shweis supporters as well as Rabbi Shwei will gain the respect of your supporters and both of you will regain the respect of the public that tuned out. As far as parnoso for you and your kids, i can promise you that you will not lose out of the deal and Hashem will give you all Parnosso beharchovo. I know that Im wasting my time because you are very stubborn and surrounded by the likes of Rubashkin and Brook , nevertheless I cannot resist writing this as it pains me to see what happened to the point that I must cry out. In the spirit of Lag baomer which represents achdus,
Sincerely, A concerned resident of Crown Heights

The so called leaders of the community are destroying the community. To say otherwise is to deny reality.

There has been a scandal. The Vaad Hakahel should call for new elections for…. VAAD HAKAHEL!

In addition, someone like Moshe Rubashkin should not be "the face of the community". Shame on all of us.

He thinks he has helped the community. Moshe, One good deed does not in any way justify a bad deed that follows.

    Wake up or get out.

TO RE [S) PECT FOR RABONIM WROTE:

You write you have lost respect for our Rav Shlita because of the “unclassy style on this election matter”
I ask you 1) which letters are you referring to? I haven’t seen too many letters from our Rav Shlita.
    2) I don’t buy that you were impartial before the election.
    3) The Rov Shlita deserves our full support for strengthening our Bais Din.

  • Pupet audiance member

It looks like the other two rabonim are embaresed to be one of Rubashkin’s pupets.

I thought the reason for the elections was so our children will see achdus and to "stop" machlokis.

  • Israel

I believe this inauguration was called hastily and was not organized well. it is the duty of the community council members to correct this by arranging for a full fledged inauguration dinner for all three rabbonim and inviting the entire community with reservations per couple etc. the rabbonim (including Rabbi SChwei) and the leaders of the community should be allowed to say divrei Torah and words that will unite the community. it is to be hoped that many of the bigwigs of the CH Jewish community will attend

  • Israel

It is to be hoped that Rabbi Schwei, after seeing that the election of the new Rabbonim is a done deal, will opt to put aside his differences, and join with the rest of the Rabbonim and work to strengthen the Badatz. if not then he will be the one to be judged "Oiver" on "LO SISGODEDU.
By publishing letters of discord and discontent he will ultimately hurt himself more than anyone else. Think about it Rabbi Schwei and don’t let yourself be misled, before it is too late.

What a joke, this whole town is run by money makers. The people with the money run the show regardless. When someone like Harav schwei stands up and tries to take the community matters and place it in the communities hands. He is then called a bal machlokes. Harav schwei is was elected to end the corruption. However, the real bal machlokes, the selfish rich people who cant stand to see someone stand in the way of their profits have the upper hand, they have the money to manipulate the entire community. This will never end. Its just the beginning.

most of u who write the nastey stuff have nathing better what to do then sit and talk loshen horah all day. the fact is that since shway came in its been fighting now u can say its his fult or the other however who cares.
i am living here in C.H for 18 years and have no persnal realtiongship with any of the elected rabonnim nor anyone in the vaad hakohol .i just see there guys out there looking for machlokes they dont care about me or you only whats good for them self’s .so all the pepole writing like litlte kids please wakeup and do somethink better then write stupid stuff that most of u dont make sence.the rabonim who where elcted are very nice pepole just as nice as who ever you would have wanted to be a rov and am sure you dont have anyone in mind .you just like some baby action the rabonim would very much want to all work toghter (with schway includid) you know the truth dont cry its not fair when they had all the time (3 mo/ or more) to comeup with some one and only the last min did they say yeh will work with you (if they really ment it) cuz u didnt think it will hapen .well it did .

  • moshiach now!

i am still a teenager and i think that this whole mishugas will never end till moshiach comes.

this is part of galus, we have to learn to work together as a whole, as lubavitchers and as messengers of the rebbe mh"m. we can only bring moshiach with achdus and unity.

  • BORUCH HOFFNGER

May people I speak to are misinformed about the affairs going on regarding the rabbonim. Many of them are professionals–intelligent people. It is unsettling and upsetting to those who really care.
Is there anyone who can publish something that would clearly explain everything? This, to me, is vital for our community’s mental health.

  • Observant Jew

On the one hand, it really is strange that since the day Rov Schwei was elected to the Badatz, he has done nothing but publicly collide with Rav Osdoba thus exponentially increasing machlokes in the community. Is the Rov unable to see that his actions are detrimental to the community, is he merely a puppet that was put there to represent the interests of baale-baatim, or is there a side to the story that completely justifies his behavior?

On the other hand, it is pretty obvious that as Rosh HaKohol, Moshe Rubashkin is not acting in an upright manner either. His "all middos" approach has greatly exascerbated already forming rifts in the community. Additionally, anyone with "eyes to see and ears to hear" finds it obvious that his actions as a communal leader are steeped in corruption, cover-ups, and the utter inability to work together with other community leaders whose opinions differ from his own.

It is time that ppl realise that the badatz has to stand on its own.
for the last 18 years the machers had to ‘protect’ the badatz from fisher aguch and now from rubashkin etc.
and during that time no one stopped and said ‘so what should the rabonim be doing for crown heights’
does mendel hendel the chief ganev really want sholom? if there would be a real sholom and the Rabonim would be busy doing Rabbonim work (like kashrus, nidah, sholom bais etc…) and not get involved with who runs 770, the moshiach campaign in Israel.
then hendel would be out of power, and would have no reason to fund raise!
let the new rabbonim spend the next 4 months going from shul to shul to meet the anash and see what bothers them….
and no longer be hostages of the vadd to save the rabbonims kovod!

and the vadd hakohol should hire 3 social workers to run 770 and make sure that ppl stay on their meds and find jobs for kutty rap, yankel chazan, and mendel hendel.
Rabbi osdaba told me 10 years ago, that if they turned of the light down stirs in 770 after 9 am, all the machlokes in lubavitch would stop!

I am a resident of CH for ten years now. I love our community and despise all those on the LEFT and the RIGHT who want to (ab)use this current shenanigan too fan the flames of their nostrils (issues).

You ask why there was only ONE rav.
To me that Rabbi Raitport is an upright and distinguished Talmid Cochom, Rav and Ball Tzedakah. He has a great reputation and a sterling record (besides in nun-gimel, nun-daled). He was never one to pursue Kovod, in fact the reason why he has Kovod is because he is a Borayach from Kovod
    .
As such it is obvious to me that with a meager 600 or so (supposed) votes, he would not tarnish his good name by joining in what is bound to now become a THREE ring circus.

I do not know him, but perhaps the same is true about Rabbi Zirkind.
    One other thing to ponder:
BEFORE the elections, the CHJCC was fully loaded and pumped, disseminating information, printing brochures and booklets with jj gross and even responding on this site.
    Since the elections, basic SILENCE.
No formal announcement, no response to the legitimate issues addressed by Rabbi Schwei and in the poltrak document and no explanations for the ad-hoc crowning; where it took place, who attended, and most revealing who did NOT attend. Did you ever imagine a crowning in the Shchunah WITHOUT the presence of the anointer, Rabbi Shmuel M.M. BUTMAN??!!

If we don’t do something SOON, we will all reap the fruit of our silence.
And who can’t but notice the silence from the Mazkir Ishi. On EVERYTHING he is ready to reveal and disclose the REAL TRUTH, when it comes to this IMPORTANT issue, OUR FUTURE and the future of our children and grandchildren he is MUTE! We should demand of him trough his Mazkir Ishi for twenty five years, Rabbi Slavin, his opinion

With love to ALL members of the CH community.

  • Crown Heights resident

Dear brothers & friends, this may come to you as a big surprise, but I’d like to enlighten you a little bit on the community in Crown Heights.

I’d like to borrrow your attention for a few minutes:

The majority of the Crown Heights community, believe it or not, is not "Linked" to any "Camp" of either of the 2 sides (the "Osdoba camp" or "Schwei camp"),

there are about a 100 or so that are staunch members of each camp, but the rest of the community (about 90% of the community) is just the "General public"

The "general public" are not always easy to pin-point, they are made up of alot of people, people who get up in the morning and go to work, people who come home in the evening to their homes and live their personal lives, people who daven with various Minyonim in various Shuls, they are not always seen, they live their own private lives, they have their personal concerns, they are quite people, they do not make "noise", they do not trumpet for any political camps or for anything else, but THEY ARE THE GENERAL PUBLIC

    TRUST ME ON THAT.

Now, what the 2 "Camps" want….. – that we know. They have their agendas and that’s obvious.

The question is: what does the General public want? the general public is not interested in any agendas. they are not interested in advancing either of the 2 political camps or their political agendas.

most of the general public live their own quiet private lives and you will NEVER know what’s on their mind.

But I suspect that most of you intelligent enough to know that which is fairly obvious, –

The general public wants to live a peaceful life in a peaceful neighborhood.

The will to live a peaceful life is not an "Agenda", it is the natural will of every decent human being.

Hence, those of the general public who felt that the election of the new Rabbonim would bring peace to the community, – went out and voted. those who felt it would not bring peace, – did not vote.

The question is, what do we do now? the elections are not in my control and not in any of you’r control, and it is now behind us.

The facts and the reality is very simple: the new Rabbonim are going to serve in the Badatz as Rabbonim (they are not going to be physically thrown out). the question is going to be, – do we accept them or do we not accept them as Rabbonim.

Thousans of Arguments have been made to accept or not accept the Rabbonim.

But the election is now behind us. the Rabbonim are going to serve on the Badatz. that is the reality

I would hope, that for the sake of the community, for the sake of peace, for the sake of our children, and most of all, – for the sake of the REBBE, we just accept these Rabbonim and move on with our lives.

and I hope that Rabbi Schwei finds it within his heart to accept the Rabbonim and join them as a unified Beis-Din, I know it’s not easy, but for the sake of Sholom and for the sake of the community I hope he will do so.

May Hashem grant us that from now on only peaceful events will come upon our community

  • A Shliach

    Dear Moshe Rubashkin,

A good deed in the past does not justify a bad deed in the future.

You miscalculated and it cost the community of C.H. very dearly.

You obviously believed that once you got away with the Fisher act, you could get away with anything.

Unfortunately we all make mistakes including you. The problem is that your mistake(s) have cost an entire community very dearly.

True, things were not at all perfect before you came on the scene, but it is obvious, even to you, that things have gotten worse. With the exception of a few good projects, in the community.

Why continue? How can you continue? Not advancing is certainly better than going in reverse.

    DVARIM HAYOITZE MIN HALEV….

    I think they’re in cahoots.
Please have a re election with the aprooval of r’schwei and r’osdoba, as r’osdoba should honour his signature.

I dont belive the 3 new rabonim are comftable with the current situation. and would prefere to have new elections

Rubashkin should be fired for his disrespectful beligerant comments about r’schwei

Hetzog had to publicly ask mechila about r’osdoba.

Peace needs to be made first between R’osdoba and schwei if not implicitly you are sidelining one of the rebonim.

Rubashkin has made a laughingstock of the comunity and compromised rabbi osdoba’s standing.
The rebbe would be very upset.

Thank G-d we have R’ Moshe Rubashkin and Dr. Lang running the Vaad Hakohal and are trying to make peace with all Anash.

  • I Remember

The Rebbe said clearly and vehemently that ONLY THE COMMUNITY through their representatives who are agreed to by a majority of the community have the authority to provide a commission to the rabonim for the community. Remember the farbrengen on Shabbos after the "Psac Din" of Rov Hendel which was quickly withdrawn after that Shabbos farbrengen? No measure of hand waiving can put the community’s ratzon at Rabbi Osdoba’s will (or in his brain, for that matter). Any claim to the contrary is delusional.

Im a 21 year old American bochur learning smicha.
I have respect for anyone that tries to do s/t to fix a situation. A Beis Din needs a rov, a majority. So we should respect ppl who work to make that happen. EVERYONE was allowed to put candidates up for vote.

But thats all water under the bridge. PEOPLE WAKE UP. All your bickering and lashon harah and fighting isnt helping anything. We have a beis din for better or worse, lets not make things worse by making more machlokes.
Its right after lag baomer where we celebrate the end of the plague, that killed the 24,000 students of the Nasi Hador of that time. The plague started bc of lack of ahavas yisroel.

As has happened many times in jewish history once again the SATAN got dressed up in a silk Kapote and make it look like the worst thing happened here (just like in 1950 when the Rebbe MH"M took on nesius there were alot of menagdim which really were only the SATAN itself) when in actual fact this is the best thing that could have happend. Kol Hakavod to Moshe Rubashkin and yarich yomim al mamlachtoi.
