The JCM is an interactive center where children of all faiths and backgrounds experience a multi-sensory world rich in Jewish tradition. At the Museum, children learn by playing computer games, doing crafts, watching videos and role playing with the interactive exhibits. There is a theater, game show studio and library on the premises. The 35 million dollar structure is designed to enable children to explore first-hand the varied texture of Jewish tradition, thereby fostering tolerance and understanding.

While their “Six Holes of Life” miniature golf course is favored by the hundreds of kids that visit everyday, the JCM Golf Celebration is for the big guys.

“Our Golf event premiere was a real hit,” says Director of Development Mendel Spalter. “Golf players really appreciate a day that’s devoted to a meaningful cause.”

“Not to mention packed with good food,” he added.

Last year’s Golf Celebration premiere welcomed over 100 businessmen and friends to the Inwood Country Club. Before being escorted to a feast-like brunch, guests received a JCM gift package which included a JCM golf jacket, hat, gift certificate and more. After seven hours of competing on the 7,000 acre course, eating at every stop, and winning prizes from iPods to cruises, the fun and fundraising day closed with one player remarking, “I’ve been a member of this club for five years now, and this is the first day I was actually proud to be here.”

The Museum says that this year’s celebration is expected to outdo its inaugural event with even more players, a larger course and hall, an even more extravagant buffet and barbeque and more surprising give-aways and prizes.
