A Present to the Rebbe: 77000 lines Baal Peh

LOS ANGELES, CA [CHI] — This year the Talmidim of Cheder Menachem in Los Angeles gave the Rebbe a special present in honor of Yud Alef Nissan. Beginning on Chof Bais Shevat the Talmidim learnt and were tested and by Yud Alef Nissan, they accumulated over 770,00 lines of Mishnayos, Tanya, Siddur and Yediyos Klaliyos. This number includes 8,505 Mishnayos including 132 complete Masechtos and 1057 Perakim. Two Talmidim learned and were tested on the entire Seder Moed, and 2 Talmidim learned the first 12 Perakim of Tanya Baal Peh.

On Monday, 21st Iyar, there was a special ceremony at which the Talmidim were awarded prizes of Seforim for their efforts and achievements.

Rabbonim, Rosh Yeshivos, Shluchim, Mashpiyim, parents and friends joined together to recognize and congratulate the achievements of the Talmidim in Cheder Menachem in this year’s Mishnayos Baal Peh program.

Rabbi Mendel Greenbaum, Menahel of Cheder Menachem began the celebration by welcoming everyone with a Dvar Torah and giving a Yasher Koach to the Talmidim. Words of Bracha were shared by Rabbi Shimon HaLevi Raichik, one of the Rabbonim of Anash in Los Angeles, Rav of the Levi Yitzchak Shul in Los Angeles, and by Rabbi Shlomo Cunin, Head Shliach of California and Nevada.

Rabbi Sholom Heidingsfeld, the co-ordinator of the Mishnayos Baal Peh program, announced the accomplishments of this year’s MBP and called up the 4 Talmidim with the highest accomplishments to receive their prizes.

Menachem Farkash of Kitta Daled and Nissi Naparstek of Kitta Ches who both learned the entire Seder Moed Baal Peh as well as other Masechtos and Perakim of Tanya, Yosef Lipsker of Kitta Zayin and Levi Greenbaum of Kittah Gimel. After this, every Talmid received a prize according to his achievements.

A special presentation was made to Reb Yankel Ginsburg שי’, who has been the driving force in the “Zevulun” aspect of the MBP Program, sponsoring the prizes since we started the program here in Cheder, Leiluy Nishmas his father, Reb Dov Reuven Ben Dovid Halevi ע“ה. He was presented with a Megilas Esther in a Megilah-case (in connection with the Yartzeit of his father which is on Purim, and we learn theat the Geulah will come in the zechus of Mishnayos, and similarly Purim is connected to the Geulah as we know that the Yom Tov of Purim will always shine even after Moshiach comes).

A Yasher Koach was given to the Sandberg family who sponsored the printing of the MBP booklet, that facilitated the learning of the Mishnayos , Tanya and Yediyos Klaliyos Baal Peh. This was sponsored in memory of Mrs Ella Brokhin, Aidel bas Reb Levi Yitzchak ע”ה.

The Talmidim and Hanholo of the Cheder hope that this causes a lot of Nachas to the Rebbe and, as explained in the Rebbe’s Sichos, will bring the Hisgalus of Moshiach Now!
