CROWN HEIGHTS, Brooklyn [CHI] — Since the racial motivated assault the past Friday night, Crown Heights has seen a major increase in Police presence, in both foot patrols along with police car patrols. Shomrim also beefed up its patrols and in addition to the unmarked patrols, 5 three wheelers were added.

Police and Shomrim Prepare for Shabbos

CROWN HEIGHTS, Brooklyn [CHI] — Since the racial motivated assault the past Friday night, Crown Heights has seen a major increase in Police presence, in both foot patrols along with police car patrols. Shomrim also beefed up its patrols and in addition to the unmarked patrols, 5 three wheelers were added.

For Shabbos, Shomrim set up their mobile command post on Kingston Avenue in front of Sterling Electronics, between Crown and Carroll St, it will be manned throughout Friday night. There also be foot posts on various corners from Oholie Torah and Beis Rivka. Police will have posts as well all over the neighborhood, residents are urged to approach the posts and voice any concerns or suspicions.

    What BS…all this patrol! Like any perps are gonna come out when the streets are flooded with cops. Ha Ha! They should dress up as local people and patrol the streets then. And lets see how long after this weekend this all lasts.
    I’d love to see the streets flooded with cops in a month or two. Bet you the streets will be desrted by then again!

    we need the police on off streets and off hours nut just sunday at 2 on 770 plus we should go out and by drinks and chips for our cops show appreciation!
