Ebers Wine and Liquor, nominated for veteran shop in One Brooklyn Funds Online vote, won the contest by a landslide. The voting poll saw Ebers bring in twice as many votes as its closest competitor.
An online voting poll, run by One Brooklyn Fund Inc., looked to find winners for most loved shops and businesses in Brooklyn.
Of the three categorizes, the Longevity 40+ years in business category, included Crown Heights’s Eber’s Wine & Liquor located on Kingston Ave.
Online voting closed, and the results came in, proving a landslide victory for Eber’s, with a number twice that of its closest competitor.
The results showed that Eber’s received 1,286 votes, while the runner up, Ali’s Trinidad Roti Shop, brought in only 621.
The winners of the other two categories were Caspers Cuts in the Impactful category, and Fit4Dance, another Crown Heights establishment, in the New and Innovative category.
The winners will be celebrated at a The Brooklyn Funds 3rd annual Gala event held next month at the Brooklyn Museum.
