Crown Heights Stabbing Victim Discharged from Hospital

In what is being described as nothing short of a miracle, the Hatzalah volunteer who was rushed to the hospital in critical condition last night after he was stabbed in the back by an unknown assailant was just discharged from the hospital and is on his way home.

Immediate first aid by his Hatzalah peers and rapid intervention by the emergency room medical staff of Kings County Hospital have saved the victim’s life. He rapidly stabilized, and overnight he recovered well enough that doctors have agreed to send him home today. They expect him to make a full recovery.

The incident jarred the Crown Heights Jewish community, as it occurred on the heels of a months-long spree of deadly stabbing attacks targeted at Jews in the Holy Land. In addition, the incident occurred just as the International Conference of Chabad-Lubavitch Emissaries gets underway, which is bringing several thousand Chabad Rabbis to Crown Heights this weekend.

Thank god for the good news that the victim is ok.
May we hear more good news that the police catch the person who did it.

If chas v’sholom any negative things are planned for our community, may God almighty intervene and convert them into revealed good things instead.
