Suspicious Item in Trash Can Causes Scare
Yesterday at around noon, an employee at Kahan’s Grocery store in Crown Heights spotted a suspicious object inside a trash can on Kingston Avenue.
The store’s management immediately called the police, who arrived shortly thereafter.
Officers first inspected the trash bin and then tipped it over. They quickly determined that there was no risk or reason for concern.
The officers then borrowed a broom and dustpan and courteously cleaned up the mess.

Are they for real?! A chafetz chashut (hebrew for [paraphrasing] bomb suspicion) is reported and the police come and kick it over to see if it explodes to determine if the suspicion is well founded!?!!!
