Hundreds Gather to Remember Beloved Rov
Hundreds of men and women gathered in Beis Rivkah High School in Crown Heights to hear words of inspiration in memory of Rabbi Yitzchok Zirkind, OBM, member of the Crown Heights Beis Din.
The shul was filled to capacity, as the community that Rabbi Zirkind so dedicatedly served came to pay their respects and remember his good deeds.
Following an introduction by Rabbi Zirkind’s son, Rabbi Levi Yitzchok Gorelik took to the podium and spoke about the Rebbe’s insistence that every Jew live every moment of his day with Halacha, as the niftar was known to do.
Rabbi Avrohom Osdoba, Mara D’asra of Crown Heights, spoke of Rabbi Zirkid’s life of Torah, Avoda and Gemilus Chassodim, and what a zchus it was to serve together with him on the Crown Heights Beis Din.
Rabbi Menachem Mendel Gluckowsky and Rabbi Aharon Dovid Gancz addressed the crowd with the theme of the evening: building a home of Yiras Shamayim and Halacha, and how we can learn from the niftar, who exemplified this in every way.

Whoever wrote this obviously wasn’t there! R Gluckowski spoke first, then R Osdoba, and R Gorelick was third.
All four rabbonim were inspiring; thank you to all who organised the event, and to the Torah Cafe staff for the live webcast.
Yosy
Why weren’t Braun & Schwei there?

Yehuda Ber my dear friend, you always have and continue to bring your father lots of nachas. Hope to see you again in Yerushalayim very soon.
Achdus
He was not a member of the Beis Din, he himself clearly stated by the din tora that he never run for the position especially after the psak din which he fully accepted and even refer to Rabbi Braun as “Rov”. Is it not advisable to give “untrue titles” to someone that is a shochen ofor and in his availus year. Reb Yitchok had even higher maylois then this so why to bring in politics when he himself run away from it?

It’s sad that (everyone knows that the Niftar did not want to have ANY part of Machlokes and Pirud Halvovos) you would give a forum for one or two SELF HATING LUBAVICHERS to try to denigrate our Raabonim……

how true

#10 not inviting our Rabbonim is exactly machlokes and pirud halevovos. Rabbi YZ went and ask mechile by Rabbi Schwei after the DT and he respected and accepted the psak.

Dear # 12, I am missing your point. My disappointment is with the editor who is allowing comments that are denigrating our Rabbonim ,Rabbi Schwei and Rabbi Braun.
And this is exactly my comment; that Rabbi Zirkind A”H would be the first to disapprove of these remarks.
I believe that you and I are on the same page.
B’suros Toyvois:
no yechi?
Does it take the death of a chosid to see a Lubavitch gathering with no screaming of yechi?
