Oholei Torah Teachers Help Teachers with Pesach Cost

The holiday of Pesach, while fun and exciting, adds significant financial stress for many families. Teachers in Oholei Torah got a significant helping hand – from other teachers!

As it has been done every year for over a decade, a group of teachers got together and arranged for produce, poultry and wine to be available to teachers for purchase at a substantially reduced cost.

Shaya Gordon and Shloime Klein of the Albany Avenue Mr. Greens, who have been a partner in this for over 15 years, went down to the market and chose the best quality produce items, then loaded it themselves onto trucks and transported it to Crown Heights, and providing the items at-cost to the teachers.

Arranging the distribution was Reb Shloime Futerfas, a teacher himself in Oholei Torah, who took ‘orders’ from teachers and together with the help of other mechanchim fulfilled them.
