Yes! so that we shouldn’t be drinking irresponsibly! It’s a chilul lubavitch here and around the world!

  • Mr. A. Cohen

whould you please take out the last 2 lines….if you dont mind.
WHY DID YOU HAVE TO WRIGHT THAT IN THE FIRST PLACE!!!

  • girls have their heads on straight

girls passed out from the crowding in 770, not from drinking

  • SICK OF THE DRINKING

HE WOULDN’T HAVE TO WRITE IT IN THE FIRST PLACE IF EVERYONE WATCHED WHAT THEY DRANK AND IF PEOPLE KNEW HOW TO DRINK!!!!!

“Hatzalah had to transport of number of drunk Bochurim and men to the hospital”

They are trying to show the world Jews have class and go to the hospital instead of sleeping it off on the street as certain neibors do :)

what kavod is there anyway to dance drunk while carrying a Sefer Torah. It’s a boosha to daven in front of the Aron Kodesh , a shul no doubt filled with vmoit, reeking of alcohol coup[led with curses from the drunken men. In adiition, women vomiting to?
We have forgotton the true meaning of simchas Torah,

Simchas Bais hashoaiva is fine WITHIN THE DANCING PERIMETERR. i was aghastby the coed crowds. the wayward teensagers and tewntysomething year olds. in the time of the Bais hamikdosh people came to see Yerushalayim because of its splendor, People flock to Ch because it’s fun to crash an all night outdoor street party. these teenagers weren’t basking in the spiritality. I myself walked home with my little boy and saw couples making out in cars.

    Are we subconciously inviting trouble.
We don’t party without b=limits. We are Chabad Chassidim and need to act like it. Next year I vote for more street patrol and separation of the sexes.

    LChaim!

i saw the israeli girl pass out, and a lady asked her in hebrew if seh waqnted teh police, but even tho she couldn’t answer the lady said that the girl replied that she had no need for the police. i suppose all she needed was some air, but it was still very frightening!!!!

this is what happens in a normal world, young boys and sometimes girls get drunk. you want a perfect world? bring moshiach.

  • Tired of the craziness

This was my first Tishrei in Crown Heights, I never in my life had to resort to yelling at people till now. The israeli women I saw here and the craziness they brought with them is of the lowest order. There is no excuse for it, for a while you forget that they are Jews for they act like the worst kind of low lives. The drinking is out of line as the Rebbe clearly stated and should be publizised for the world to see, maybe then things will change!

  • SAYIN IT THE WAY IT IS

ha! so many immature ppl!. I had a awsume time this simchat torah and the chasidim i have met have made a lasting impression on me. i had 4 lchaims and a awsume time. if one has a problem with drinking or underdrinking (i see its a problem many commentors have). then there is two things that DEAL with the ISSUE . 1:EDUCATION some ppl gatta learn to be more responsible and some gatta chill out. 2: Time: every alcoholic beverage wears off with time…so does immaturity… so those complainig about ppl making a lchaim put on some music while your doin the dishes for a change .(get a life). and for those who have a life getting wasted will learn that controled joy is by far the greatest. have a joyful year!. VEYAKOV HALACH LDARKO!

btw, i’m not sure the guy was a lubavitcher taht got hit by the car. didn’t look too jewish to me. happened to be tons of lubavitchers were walking by and stood around…but double check who that person was. i saw it happen- kinda scary. a paseenger in the car that hit him said 3 people ran across the street on a red light and unfortunately, the 3rd didn’t make it quick enough adn got hit, even though the car screeched to a stop. everyone should be careful with crossing streets on red- even if it’s at night- espeically on such a busy street/ avenue like kingston.
kind of cool to see how fast tehy responded- hatzalah/ shomrim was right there when it happened…was interesting site.

The Bochur that fell off the porch was not drunk, but was being hugged by someone that was.
    They are both b’h fine.

  • anonymouse

Why do you have to leave a comment?!! Nobody asked you. You are just being yentes. Nobody needs to know your opinion, especially your rude ones. I agree with m.s. “STOP COMPLAING”

  • OMG

OMG Yom tov is over? I just woke from my drunken hang over. I learned my lesson, next time drink orange juice or grape juice. No more smirnoff.

  • Not a drunken bum

Doesn’t anyone here CARE that Hatzalah spent THEIR Yom Tov dealing with drunks??? Is this what they signed up for? To attend to people who do this harm to themselves?!

Show me ONE Bachur who had liquor forced down his throat. You posters are a bunch of spoiled brats. Give credit to Hatzalah, to their wives & kids who missed out on a proper Yom Tov with Tatteh, and while you’re doing that, SEND A CHECK! Like I did when they had to come out to me a few weeks ago when I had an accident in the house. It’s called Hakores Hatov. Anyone here heard of it???

It is necessary for him to report that drunk bocherim are being sent to the hospital, because disgraces need to be brought to light and fixed.

I saw a guy get so drunk with his father-in-law yesterday and then vomited in the middle of the shul.during hakafos…and then lied down in his vomit.

How did people respond?….. By saying….let’s say LChaim…and then leaving him to sleep in the vomit.

Is this normal? Vomiting in a shul and no one making a big deal about it. Drunk men cursing, pushing, and acting obscene. Fathers so drunk they cant even protect their little kids….and the poor wives who have to put up with this GOYISH behavior.

How do the women of Lubavitch put up with this? How do these CHer’s and ISRAELIS brag about being Lubavitch when they basically discgrace everything Chabad stands for in one night.

As a BT, I love to associate with Chabad. HOWEVER, every Simchas Torah, I get so ashamed to be part of this group. Are we focused on the Torah….or simply on the drinking?

It is truly a shame that there is no rabbinic leadership to look out for the women who have to deal with their drunk husbands, sons, fathers. It is a shame their is no rabbinic to work with the shuls to limit the alcohol consumption on simchas torah.

People will say, “What are you going to do about it?” Here’s what I will do: Continue to control my alchohol so my kids will see how a normal person CAN control their liquor and still be frum.

  • reader

One person should be in charge of alcohol at shuls and not give it to underage or inebriated.

  • anonymous

parents who take kids their kids to shul should be more protective as to where their child is at all times!!!!

  • concerned citizen

I almost got killed/ trampeled on by rude Israeli girls trying to get backi into 770 after Yiskor- could not believe their attitude!Who is reponsible for their behavior?

  • Treat the shul with respect

“not a drunken bum” wrote, in my opinion, the only sensible comment with a lesson we can all learn from.
    Yasher Koach!

  • Where is HAtzoloh?

A girl fainted in 770 on Simchat Torah. After revivng her and escorting her out for some air, I went to look or HAtzoloh to check her and make sure she was fine. I wnt down to the street and called Hatzoloh wich elicted no reaction. I even got some stupid comments from men that ladies belong upstairs. I went back to check up on the girl who was already feeling and protested she didnt want thme to come. So, I started to leave her and thats when HAtzoloh showed up.
I thank them for coming but why couldnt I find any memebers right away? Why are there 2 ambulances with no members around it? Doesnt that defeat the purpose?
Also, the night before men spent half-hour seaching for Hatzoloh fo a bochur. There was none to be found.

MAybe you can tell us where to look next time?

what is going on in 770 is disgusting. I stopped going, but decided to go just one time this yom tov at least for old times sake. the ladies section had food all over the floors, mothers had their little kids sleeping on the floor, under benches, in middle of throngs of people. It was 12:30 on simchas torah! I think its abusive. take your kids home to a normal bed. Women were pushing and shoving, I saw girls being Mechalel Yom tov, because they were so hot, they needed to rip cardboards to use as fans. It stunk, and everybody was so aggressive, trying to grab the food that was being given out.
Someone needs to take control over the shul. It’s turning into a farm.

  • The Missing Child-watch your children!!

Regarding the missing child, I heard that a “well meaning, but thoughtless” resident of Crown Heights actually removed the child from 770 in an attempt to find the father. Why would the father leave his child behind? The father was right there!! This resident “was trying to be helpful” and spent nearly 2 hours running around Crown Heights “in an attempt to find the home of the child”. Meanwhile the father, police, and everyone else was frantically searching for the child in 770 and around Crown Heights. He should have just stayed in 770 and looked around. We must protect our children and watch them with a thousand eyes from these “well-meaning individuals”

  • do something with your life

please dont take note of the comments
its just some board people who cant even spell

  • I WAS THERE AND SAW IT ALL

Thanks to the Staff for posting the last paragraph, a very TRUTHFUL statement and one that contrary to what others wanted, needed to be posted. It is EXTREMELY IMPORTANT that members of the Community know what transpires, be it regarding excessive drinking, missing children, crime, etc etc etc. I think you get the point. Understanding the Holiday & significance of celebrating with “a drink”, the police resources were stretched thin to say the least. This detracts from what they are really here for. They did an outstanding job, used a ton of discretion and made these Holy Days one of the safest on record, considering the also record crowds. It is important that we as a “people” take responsibility for our actions, not blame others and still celebrate through prayer and enjoy.

  • Dont be an idiot

WHEN YOU NEED HAZOLAH USE A PHONE TO CALL, DONT RUN AROUND LOOKING FOR THEM, U DONT NEED TO BE FRUMMER THAN THE POPE, IT MAY KILL SOMEONE ONE DAY.

HATZOLAH MEMBERS HAVE FAMILIES AND ARE NOT WAITING FOR PEOPLE TO GET SICK

  • Surprised and Happy

I went to CH for Simchas Torah the first time this year, and what i saw was so much better than what i had expected.I heard how crazy 770 is, yet it seemed so much nicer than what i had heard. I was a little surprised. I figured things got better this year. When I read all these comments I realized its all a matter of perspective. You can go to the Bais Hamikdosh and see a slaughter house, or a house for The Shchina. ‘Perspective Changes Reality’. Try it and you’ll see.

P.S. I really enjoyed Yom Tov. and i actually found the Israeli girls to be nicer and more ‘Ahavas Yisroeldik’ than the Americans.I guess that was just my perspective.

SIMCHAS TORAH WAS THE USUAL GRATE EXPERIANCE. YOU GOT TO LOOK AT THE 99% THAT KNOW HOW TO ACT AND SELEBRATE.

  • no offense

to“do something …life” not meaning to offend, just kinda cute that you misspelled “bored”,

  • had a great experience

BT makes a lot of sense. As for myself I enjoyed 770 tremendously, I went once for Tefilas Hageshem, I don’t think any shul in the world was more inspiring than 770 (wow, those nigunim!) and I went on Simchas Torah and everyone let everyone see, even the frenchies, so all in all that was my experience.
