New Jewish Barber Shop on Kingston

CROWN HEIGHTS, Brooklyn [CHI] — For the first time in years a new barber shop has opened up for business on Kingston. The Crown Heights community has grown in these past years and there simply was a demand for an additional hair cutter.

The new shop is situated next door to the Ice Cream store between Montgomery and Crown, and is owned by Reb Yehuda, a Bukharin Jew who immigrated to the United States in 1991, and try his luck in making a parnassa in New York.

There is no reason for another barber when our other barber is having a hard time making parnossah. PLEASE PPL HAVE A COUNSCIOUS!

I think Dovid Hazan may be overwhelmed with customers as he appeared to be in my days in CH but indeed we should support Anash whenever possible.

That space was the car service that was shut down by the authorities.

    To Anonymous:

It was a cell phone store for like a month or 2,and before that it was a car service.

i think we should support all yidden. additionaly i think there is room and parnasa for all. i remeber the good ol days when hazan stopped im middel of my haircut to shut the store for mincha, so now i can run to yehudah to finish the job.

I got a hair cut from him the other day. He was NOT rough, and he WAS friendly. From now on he is my ONLY barber in CH.

It doesnt matter if the new barber is chabad or not. The days of that making a difference are long gone.

Hey – it’s a free market! Let the man with the best prices and the best product get the business.

If you think Hazan gives a better haircut for a better price, give him your business.

In a capitalist society, the consumer always wins. It’s too bad that some Crown Heights merchants have trouble understaindg this.

You want our business? Give us some customer service and we’ll be happy to patronize you.

This support anash thing is silly. That is not a factor in chabad anymore. To say you should go to someone because they are lubavitch or that they live in Crown Heights doesnt fit these days!

It’s about time we have someone who gives a great haircut at a great price.

He saves me a trip to Coney Island Ave.

Its about time this hood has a choice.

    Yehuda Thank You!

I remeber the time waiting for 45 minutes to get a cut when the guy just decided he had enough and was closing up.

If Parnassa was an issue he would treat his customers like humans not cattle.

he would be more available for cutting hair and spend less time on his shipping trucking bussines.

  • Yehudah is the man!!!

I am all for competition ask anybody who knows anything competition is good for business and yehudah is a great barber i went to him for a haircut.
People dont realize hoe big a difference it makes when you smile and give good customer service.
    Yehudah keep it up.
