Arrest Made After Erratic Thief Attempts To Steal From Crown Heights Store

A classic case of de-escalation and professionalism after an erratic man attempted to steal from a Crown Heights store Tuesday night.

According to Crown Heights Shomrim, they received a call for help at approximately 8:00pm to a local store where an erratic man had attempted to steal. The Shomrim volunteers responded rapidly and were able to calm the man and keep him on scene as the NYPD responded to the scene.

An arrest was made peacefully, and a volatile situation calmed with the help of Shomrim.
