Young Menace Harasses and Assaults Multiple People In Lefferts Park Friday, NYPD Catches Accomplice
by CrownHeights.info
A young menace has begun terrorizing the area, with his latest crime involving stealing a ball before threatening to stab people and ultimately assaulting a Jewish boy.
If you think this is just a story of a boy being a boy, you are mistaken.
According to reports, the young menace had first attempted to steal a ball from another boy in Lefferts Park Friday but got chased away by a nearby adult. When a parent of the boy who nearly had his ball stolen arrived at the park, the menace allegedly threatened to stab him.
The menace then continued searching for a victim, attempting to steal a ball from a second victim. His second attempt also failed, and this time he slapped his victim in the face. On his third attempt he ultimately succeeded in stealing a ball from a Jewish boy, and when confronted, punched him in the stomach.
Crown Heights Shomrim and the NYPD were called, with Shomrim volunteers tracking the boy and an accomplice through the streets of Crown Heights to a building on Fenimore Street where they pointed out the boys to responding officers. The officers managed to catch one of the two fleeing boys. Unfortunately, the boy caught was the accomplice and not the person who punched the Jewish boy, so the officers released him.
