30-Year-Old Man Fatally Shot in Crown Heights

Dion James, 30, was trying to protect his wife from an angry gunman when he was shot twice in the back on Sunday morning in Crown Heights.

He was rushed to Kings County Hospital, but he could not be saved.

The incident took place near the corner of Franklin Ave. and Union St. in Crown Heights shortly before 4:00am on Sunday, June 26.

Police said James was shot while trying to break up a fight between his wife and another man.

    we need some public letters written, asking that all clergy get pro-active in helping with crime and dysfunction. something has to change. there IS a way, and we have to discover what it is. Its certainly not in the way we are all dealing and not dealing with it now.
