Menorah Vandalized in Queens

A Chanukah Menorah greeting the residents of Hollis Hills in Queens, New York, was vandalized just before the start of Chanukah. Shliach Rabbi Yerachmiel Zalmanov tells CrownHeights.info that he was “shocked” at the discovery.

Just before the start of Chanukah Rabbi Yerachmiel Zalmanov, the Shliach to Eastern Queens, was checking up on his many public Menorahs around his neighborhood and was shocked to discover that one of them was vandalized and toppled to the ground.

The Menorah was located at the entrance to the neighborhood where Rabbi Zalmanov resides with his family.

A police report was filed and the incident is being investigated by the NYPD.
