Hatzalah Garage Defaced with Swastikas and Hate Messages
On Motzai Shabbos, residents discovered swastikas and hate-filled messages scrawled on the wall of a Hatzalah garage in Crown Heights. Earlier, on Shabbos morning, residents found leaflets with printed swastikas spread around in the same area.
Shabbos morning a resident discovered hundreds of small leaflets with printed swastikas on them spread all over the Carroll and Schenectady area. A passing police cruiser was flagged down and alerted to the incident.
Officers took a police report and police sources told CrownHeights.info that โthe incident is under investigation.โ
Later, on Motzai Shabbos, residents discovered graffiti on the wall of the Hatzalah garage on Schenectady Avenue. The graffiti included a number of swastikas, as well as hate-filled messages against Jews.
Police were immediately notified after the discovery, and a hate crimes investigation has been opened. Police sources added that in light of the recent discovery, they would be looking into the Shabbos morning incident as possibly related.
At the request of the police department, Shomrim volunteers painted over the graffiti.
Bunch of idiots
A few years back, I was walking in Crown Heights with my baby, with a friend and her baby, toward the Botanical Gardens.
As we passed the Armory, a few non-Jewish teen girls passed us, going in the opposite direction. My friend said to me, after these girls passed us, “Did you hear what they said?” (I hadn’t heard them): “They said, ‘Hitler, Hitler!!'” [yemach shemo!]
I later told a friend about it, who teaches public school, and she said, “These kids are a bunch of idiots! They use this talk because they know it’s upsetting to Jews. And at the same time, usually they don’t even know WHY it’s upsetting! That’s how little they know, and how little they care…. Bunch of idiots!”
SOOO sad! This kind of nasty ignorance is what we’re up against, in today’s world!!!

We have to teach our children to be strong. That they can do something about bigots who hate Jews. This is good for them, I think.

And one more thing – the demented version of history currently being “taught” is that the Holocaust took 6 million Jews – I love how they cut the numbers in half and left out the fact that they took over 11 million and their criteria were not just religion but also skin color, homosexuality, and disability. Yup. That’s great. Next, let’s teach the next generation that fish are actually cows. That makes sense too.
