Three Juvenile Criminals Arrested
Yesterday in the late afternoon, a Shomrim volunteer was patrolling the streets when he noticed three African-American kids entering an alleyway and behaving like they were up to no good.
As he followed them from a distance, he was notified that Shomrim headquarters received multiple calls about an attempted mugging by three African-American children of a Jewish child. Another caller saw the children throwing rocks at Jewish homes.
Soon after receiving the call, the Shomrim volunteer spotted the three children stealing a scooter from the backyard of a home on Lefferts Ave. near New York Ave. With clear evidence of a crime, the volunteer summoned the police.
The cops apprehended the juveniles and brought them down to the precinct, where their records were examined to see what disciplinary steps were appropriate for them. (If their records were clean, they would be released to their parents with a stern warning.)
