‘Shoulder Surfer’ Wanted for Crown Heights Robbery’s

Police are on the hunt for a man who they say is stealing personal information by looking over victims’ shoulders at a Crown Heights bank.

According to investigators, the suspect was caught on camera three times at the Popular Community Bank on Eastern Parkway using the robbery scheme called shoulder surfing.

Authorities say the man approaches his victims after they’ve swiped their card at an ATM, distracts them and directs them to a second machine where he watches for their pin number. He then is able to return to the first ATM and successfully withdraw money.
