In Wake of Tragedy, Chasidim Write ‘Pan Kloli’ to Rebbe

A Pan Kloli on behalf of all the Rebbe’s Chasidim was read at the Ohel today, in the wake of repeated tragedies that have recently occurred in the Chabad community.

With tears in his eyes, Rabbi Avrohom Shemtov, chairman of Agudas Chasidei Chabad, read aloud the Pan signed by hundreds of members of Anash throughout the world who submitted their names to be included in the letter.

The Pan Kloli, which was addressed to the Rebbe in the name of every one of his Chasidim, asks that he ‘awaken mercy from on high on behalf of all of Anash’ after several young soldiers in the Rebbe’s army were taken from us, and that the families of the deceased be provided with true Nechama (consolation).

The Pan concluded with the plea of ‘Ad Mosai!?’ demanding an end to the sorrows and hardships afflicting the Jewish people.

One of the most heartbreaking things I have ever listened to. We are like ships without anchors and we must find a way to port. We have to mend fences with those we disagree and try to live b’achdut. I know how hard it is, believe me. I am talking to myself.

May the spirit of Purim break through this last layer of golus and bring Moshiach NOW.

“ships without anchors”, you mean like a ship without a rudder or a ship without a sail…

Let’s all make up and love one another no matter what our beliefs are. We all want Moshiach, let’s not focus on who the Moshiach is rather, on having true achdus one with another in order to BRING the Moshiach already. Ahavas Yisrael NOW!

This is what I meant. Maybe you are right, although I did mean anchors – nothing/nobody is holding us together. We are drifting. But clearly you missed my point: do we have to argue & fight about everything, even semantics? Who cares? It makes a difference if we use one expression or another? Time to put aside these petty differences & let stupid things go.

    Good shabbos, a freilichen Purim.

Including calling someone who corrects you, “petty & “stupid”! You too have gotta walk the talk.
