JTVS and Bramson ORT Together Again

The unique partnership that joined together Bramson ORT College with Chabad, has announced the relaunch of its JTVS (Jewish Technical Vocational School) program.  JTVS allows young men to earn smicha in the morning while studying towards a GED and associates degree in the afternoon.

The 2 year program allows students to earn their GED through college course work rather than having to take the GED exam. The young men develop valuable career skills while earning an Associates degree in one of Bramson ORT’s 19 cutting edge degree programs.   Enrollees will join the thousands of successful ORT graduates.

The college and yeshiva provide dedicated support and free tutoring throughout their studies in order to ensure student success.

Rabbi Levi Kaplan, head of the Jewish Technical Vocational School, who oversees the yeshiva component, was excited to announce the launch.  “We have seen so many of our graduates achieve great success upon completion of our program.  Many have gone on to very lucrative positions and have become stellar members of our community.  Some have already started families which they are supporting and are fully integrated into the community. In fact, the salutatorian at Bramson ORT College’s recent graduation was a JTVS student.  His heart warming speech to the graduates was an amazing Kiddush Hashem.”

“The college is excited to restart the project.  Some of our most successful and impressive graduates have come from this program.  Our teachers love working with these highly motivated students,” said Yair Rosenrauch, Director of Bramson ORT’s Brooklyn extension center, where the program takes place.

Financial aid and scholarships are available to qualified students. The College is accredited by the Board of Regents of The University of the State of New York.
