71st Precinct’s Erev Shabbos Gift to Kingston Avenue

A group of cops from the 71st precinct, who were walking the beat on Kingston, gave Kingston shoppers an unwelcomed Shabbos gift, a $115 ticket for parking in a construction area where no work was being done.

Due to the rain construction crews were unable to work today, and many of the signs announcing ‘no parking Friday’ were removed and replaced with ‘no parking Monday’ signs, but this did not phase these cops who wrote up over fifteen cars.

“It’s not like they were [traffic cops], these were our own cops from our own precinct, they should be sensitive to the fact that it is Friday and we are all running and doing our shopping” said one ticket recipient.

    understand that first it started with the police targeting shomrim and when the community didnt raise hell the police said, hey we targeted shomrim and no one complained lets go after the community at large.

    to READER maybe you should READ the article and look at the pictures it says most of the signs had been replaced with NO PARKING MONDAY because of the fact that they were not able to work FRIDAY that is the reason these tickets are bogus, im sure the people at wefighttickets.com can help all those who got these bogus tickets!!

    Based on your comment you are obviously referring to the more or less predominantly black side of Crown Heights. Guess what? We get ticketed a hell of a lot on this side by the 71st precinct and by Patrol Borough Brooklyn South. Fact is NYC makes money off of ticketing. Don’t try to turn this into a “ticketing persecution of Jews”. The reality is as well, that on this side of town, you often hear people saying how come the police don’t ticket the Jews as much over on Kingston ave. Number 4 I am not coming at your neck, just think that needed to be shared.
