NYPD’s Relentless Persecution of Shomrim Escalates
CROWN HEIGHTS [CHI] — After more than a year of relentless persecution by officers of the 71st Precinct against members of the Crown Heights Shomrim, they have apparently decided that this is still not enough, and have since escalated their efforts, launching a coordinated assault on the volunteer security organization.
Since the beginning of 2010 marked Shomrim vehicles have been the target of a steady stream of citations by various agencies, from traffic cops to police officers. Now one officer – who has himself written tens of such violations – took it to the next level by pulling over a marked Shomrim scooter.
Officer PO Sanz – [Officer ID 934276] – who is assigned to the 71st Precinct, has written Shomrim over 50 parking summonses – most of which were without merit, and have been dismissed. Today, officer Sanz pulled over a Shomrim Scooter and wrote the driver three tickets – all of them without any conceivable merit.
“This marks a new record for the police department in their ongoing war against Shomrim” said a Shomrim coordinator; “we never asked for special treatment, all we want is equal treatment, and this is pure vindictive targeting” he said.
“Nowadays we need to fear the cops more than we do the criminals we come into contact with” added another Shomrim volunteer.
When asked what Shomrim intends to do to protect themselves, they said “whatever it takes.” in the meantime, complaints have been filed with the Internal Affairs Bureau and Civilian Complaint Review Board.
CHJCC to Blame
NYPD does this on orders from the people at the Crown Heights Jewish Community Council Inc.
Thats wht when people complain against the police, the police run to the CHJCC and cry foil, then the CHJCC comes out with an edict (taking away mine and your civil rights).
The CHJCC has an agenda to destroy anything they can’t control.

Also notice how the traffic agent mentions the guys up on Eastern Pkwy and the other Scooter guys, known as the Shmira/COP.
As of July 3rd, 2009, the word coming out of the precinct is, that every officer was ordered to ticket anything Shomrim!. Whos behind all this? What was the crimes that the volunteers of Shomrim committed? How will this end?

What exactly is the video showing? I didn’t see anything in it to get upset about. What were these three tickets you got today for? It’s nice that you tell us they were “without any conceivable merit”, but why do you expect us to take your word for that? How can we possibly decide whether you’re right if you won’t tell us what they were for, and why they couldn’t be right?

Jealousy & hatred can lead to a lot of things dirty things. How sad is it that they are targeting Shomrim? A group of guys who take time and risks just for their community. They do not deserve this.

This is the same guy that sits on Friday afternoon at 4:30pm on Lefferts between Brooklyn and New York and gives tickets for the illegal right turn. He’s clearly missing some love in his life.

the video is showing vehicles that are dedicated to serve and protect this community get tickets for no apparent reason! notice the officer in the beginning of the video bending down and checking out the scooter form various angles! my question is why? do the cops always check the exterior of every parked car they ticket? obviously not! the cop was going out of his way to find something! In the meantime CH Shomrim responds to emergency calls in 3 min or less and 71 precinct is holding at over an hour response time for serious calls! None of these vehicles got tickets for blowing red lights, none of these vehicles got tickets for not coming to a complete stop at the stop sign, all they get is these BS parking tickets that these cops write. They are upset at Shomrim for not joining the COP program, and therefore taking revenge on the volunteer corps by bothering them at each and every turn. They also get encouraged by various well connected people and a certain organization to maintain the harassment of Shomrim. For one thing Shomrim proves that you don’t need a special ID to help another individual, even in the face of constant harassment they continue to thrive and help people. Like the Jews in Egypt the more they were oppressed the more they thrived! This is the same precinct that every single day someone gets shot in! that’s a fact! this is the same precinct that car thieves break into cars on weekly bases and never get caught. This is the same precinct that crime has risen in the last few months and yet we haven’t seen an improvement! I will exit with a little piece of advice to the 71, go after the muggers and thieves, and killers with the same zeal you target shomrim we might have a safer neighborhood!

It seems to me that Shomrim is like Israel – a small piece of land that everyone wants to rule over and all think it doesn’t have the right to exist, yet they continue to live on despite all odds! Go Shomrim! Continue doing your work LeShem Shamayim and Hashem will protect you and us!

The reason we can’t fulfill this commandment to destroy Amalek today is because Sancharive dispersed all the nations and mixed everybody up, and we don’t know who Amalek is. Yes and no, Milhouse.
The law permits murder (and everyone should rush to grab the mitzvah) for someone who *threatens* to mosser. If you don’t don’t feel that he is going to snitch anymore, he is *merely* required to make up the damage to the people he hurt.
