Large Menorah Lit in Shadow of Kremlin
Thousands of Jews of all ages crowded into Moscow’s Red Square to celebrate Chanukah with joy and pride.
A large Menorah was lit by Russia’s chief Rabbi Berel Lazar, as well as by the vice Chairman of the Russian Duma (Parliament) Mr. Alexander Turshin.
After the lighting, the crowd danced joyously to Chanukah music, and enjoyed traditional latkes and jelly doughnuts.
