Interceptor Missile Fragment Impacts Chabad Home on Lod

Five people were treated for distress Motzaei Shabbos after an Iranian missile was launched toward central Israel, triggering sirens across the region. According to local reports, part of an interceptor missile struck the home of a Chabad family in the southern section of the city.

Miraculously, no one was injured in the incident.

Family members said that immediately upon hearing the alert sirens, they followed the instructions of the Home Front Command and quickly moved to the stairwell of their building, the most protected location available to them at that moment. Their swift response likely prevented serious injury.

The family noted that they did not have time to reach a designated shelter, as the alert sounded just minutes after the children had finished showering.

Despite the damage caused by the interceptor fragment that penetrated the home, all members of the family emerged unharmed.

Mayor Yair Revivo visited the scene shortly afterward and emphasized the importance of following safety instructions during rocket alerts.

“This case reminds us all how important it is to obey the Home Front Command’s instructions — they save lives,” Revivo said. “Dear residents, continue to show responsibility, adhere to the instructions, and reach a protected area on time. May we hear only good news.”

Emergency services responded to the scene and assisted those suffering from shock. Authorities continue to urge residents to remain vigilant and to follow official safety guidance during rocket alerts.
