Hundreds of Women Celebrate Virtual Siyum HaRambam and Sefer HaMitzvos

On Sunday, 15 Shvat 5786 (February 1, 2026), women and girls from around the world joined the Women’s Siyum HaRambam and Sefer HaMitzvos, a live, virtual gathering. The event marked the completion of the current Rambam and Sefer HaMitzvos cycle and the beginning of a new one, combining informative talks, inspiration, and personal stories.

The program featured inspiring talks from Rabbi Braun, Rabbi Hertzel, Bryna Horvitz, Mrs. Zelda Weinbaum, and Miriam Zaltzman, with Rivkie Brashevitzky serving as MC.

Rabbi Braun spoke about the brachos and nisim associated with learning Rambam, and emphasized its relevance to everyone, particularly women.

Rabbi Hertzel gave an overview of the Rebbe’s Rambam campaign, providing a thorough breakdown of the Mivtza and its application to women.

Mrs. Zelda Weinbaum shared her personal journey to learning Rambam and the inspiration it brought to her life.

Bryna Horvitz highlighted how learning Sefer HaMitzvos is the Rebbe’s takana for us, a fulfillment of the Rebbe’s wish, even when it’s hard.

Miriam Zaltzman shared what inspired her to start learning Rambam Perek Echad in her post-seminary years and how she continues through married life and motherhood.

Additionally, participants were moved by a special video of the Rebbe speaking to women on 25 Iyar 5747https://www.chabad.org/therebbe/livingtorah/player_cdo/aid/531054/jewish/Daily-Study-of-Maimonides.htm

Mushka Lishner presented the Hachlata initiatives, inspiring everyone to jump on board.

Shaina Korf did the Siyum Sefer HaMitzvos, and Geulah Notik concluded with the Siyum HaRambam.

The event was attended by nearly 400 Zoom participants and more than 150 livestream viewers, totaling over 550 women and girlsfrom around the world.

The feedback received was overwhelming:

“One word…WOW!!! It was such a privilege to be part of the Zoom! I am so inspired!!!”

“Beautiful siyum…informative and inspiring. I took on a hachlata to learn Sefer HaMitzvos more in depth.”

“Wow, incredible!! Mazal Tov and Yasher Koach to all the organizers, speakers, and MC. Everyone did so amazing!”

“It gave me enough of a push without the guilt and it was relatable”

FAQs from the Program:

Q: When should I learn the Sefer Hamitzvos or Rambam of the day?
A: As mentioned in the program, the ideal time to do it is the day of (Tuesday) or, if need be, the night before (Monday night).
Rambam absolutely can be said on the night of (i.e., Tuesday night for Tuesday) if it was not said before Shkiah.
For our raffle, we want to ensure a strong commitment; therefore, to enter the raffle, the shiur should be said either the night before, during the day, or that night, and not be caught up afterwards. (For example – Monday night, Tuesday day, Tuesday night but not Wednesday day, etc.)

Q: Do I need to learn all the details of Sefer Hamitzvos, or is a summary ok?
A: There are different levels of learning. Ideally, one should learn all the details.
If this is not practical for your stage of life, that is totally understandable :) And you can definitely join the raffle by committing to learning the daily Sefer Hamitzvos with a summary/abridged version

Q: Does listening to a Shiur count as learning Rambam?
A: Listening to a live Shiur is considered learning, even without verbalizing the words. If listening to an audio Shiur, verbalize the words as well.

Over 80 women (and many more by the minute!) have already joined the Hachlata group and committed to their personal learning goals for the new Sefer Hamitzvos and Rambam cycle. Additionally, a Perek Echad Farbrengen group was created by a participant to allow everyone to learn together and share inspiration throughout the cycle, if they choose that track.

Anyone can still join the Hachlata initiative, even if they were unable to attend the live Zoom event, as the new Rambam cycle begins on Tuesday, 16 Shvat 5786. Participants are encouraged to commit to their chosen learning and receive reminders by signing up here: Confirm Your Hachlata. An admin-only WhatsApp group provides information, reminders, and support for participants: Join Here.

The Women’s Siyum HaRambam and Sefer HaMitzvos successfully brought women of all ages together for learning, reflection, and spiritual achdus, inspiring participants to continue growing in Torah and to connect with the Rebbe’s vision for the next Rambam cycle.

As the Rebbe ended off the siyum in 5747, “May the achdus of the Yidden, accomplished through learning ‘Kol HaTorah Kulah,’ nullify the cause of galus and automatically nullify galus itself.” And then, we will reach Yemos Hamoshiach when, as the Rambam ends off, the whole world will be occupied with knowing Hashem, and the world will be full of knowledge of Hashem as the ocean fills the sea.
