Merkos Chinuch Office Hosts Two-Part Chinuch Training Focused on Helping Students Get “Unstuck”

The Merkos Chinuch Office will be hosting a two-part Chinuch program designed to accommodate both morning and afternoon Mechanchos so they can attend when not teaching, as well as Mechanchos and Menahalos who are in town for the Kinus Hashluchos. Each part addresses the same core ideas and chinuch goals.

Taking place on Thursday, February 5th, 18th Shevat, the training utilizes the Rebbe’s approach to help students move past academic, social, and Middos challenges by recognizing their strengths and developing confidence in their ability to navigate difficult situations.

Part One – 10:30 AM

Part One of the program is divided into two sessions:

Session 1 – Correcting Without Wounding
This segment will feature Mrs. Shterna Rappaport and Mrs. Sara Blau, who will inspire through the Possuk of “Bechol” and the Rebbe’s precise Chinuch language. Mechanchos will gain insight into how the Rebbe views each student’s inner strengths, and how this outlook can shape the way Mechanchos can help students move forward with confidence and purpose.

Session 2 – Tools to Support Students Through Inner Roadblocks
This segment will feature Mrs. Nami Friedman, an educational consultant with over 30 years of Chinuch experience. She will share practical, classroom-based strategies that help Mechanchos guide students through challenges, foster a sense of empowerment, and support students in realizing they are capable of moving beyond the issues they face.

Participants can enjoy lunch and networking with fellow Mechanchos between the two parts.

Part Two – 1:15 PM

Part Two of the program is divided into two sessions:

Sessions 1 – Panel Discussion
This segment will feature a panel of experienced teachers and principals, focusing on strategies for helping students navigate social and Middos challenges. Panelists will share real-world approaches for creating classroom environments where students feel understood, capable, and supported, while offering Mechanchos practical tools they can implement immediately.

Sessions 2 – Applying “Bechol”
This session will feature Rabbi Hertzel Pewzner, who will explore the Possuk of “Bechol” and will discuss the same topic as Mrs. Shterna Rappaport and Mrs. Sara Blau. Mechanchos will learn how to apply these lessons to help students feel “unstuck,” recognize their individual strengths, and move forward with confidence.

Both sessions will be recorded for those unable to attend live.
