Crown Heights Participates in Menorah Parades Each Night of Chanukah

This Chanukah, Crown Heights families had the opportunity to participate in Car Menorah Parades held each night of Chanukah.

This initiative, started in recent years by Rabbi Yoel Vogel, enabled many more families to take part in spreading the light of Chanukah, by having multiple parades on different nights and locations, and lending out Car Menorahs so that anyone with a car was able to participate!

This year, two new Car Menorah parades were organized for the first time. The parades were coordinated together with local Shluchim and were escorted by their respective local NYPD precincts, ensuring a safe and well-organized experience for all participants.

“The parade was not too long and was very smooth”, says Rivkah B. from Crown Heights who joined one of the parades. “The parade was not too long and ran very smoothly. As we passed houses and stores, people waved and were visibly excited to see us parading through their neighborhoods.”
