The Eltere Bochurim of TTOP

We all have that one person. For some it was a parent, for others an older brother, a counselor, or a beloved melamed, someone we could look up to as a role model, someone we could picture ourselves becoming one day.

With this in mind, Tomchei Tmimim Ocean Parkway launched a Leil Shishi program this year to help introduce strong, positive role models to our talmidim. Every Thursday night, in a local shul in Crown Heights, the talmidim of the Older Division gather for quality, meaningful time along with four eltere buchrim to learn Sichos, farbreng, and build relationships that can last a lifetime.

Spearheaded by our program director, Rabbi Avrohom Gorman, and now in its fourth week, the program is being brought to life by the dedicated bochurim Eli Rimler, Mendel Rodkin, Schneur Chein, and Mendel Feiglin, who give from their free time to make it the success it has become. In this short period, talmidim are being spotted learning Chitas during breaks and using their time on the bus to say brachos and korbanos. They are becoming true lamplighters for the Younger Divisions; illuminating their surroundings and leading the way with the chayus they receive each week at the Leil Shishi program.

With Rabbi Gorman focusing his efforts on the Older Division, the tmimim of Ocean Parkway have lots to look forward to.
