Empower Your Educators: Course on Mental Health for Middle and High School Staff
As a teacher or principal, you play a central role in the well-being of your students. With the rise of mental health challenges among young people, understanding the signs, symptoms, and appropriate responses is more important than ever.
Following an incredibly successful course over the summer for mechanchos, A Drop of Light has created a course for middle and high school mechanchim. This course will b’ezras Hashem give male teachers and educators the knowledge and tools to effectively help and support their students.
Taught by a team of professionals in the mental health field – many of whom specialize in working with young adults and teenagers – this course will cover critical topics, including: depression, ADHD, trauma, suicide, the role of a teacher, and how to effectively communicate with parents.
Our presenters include: Rabbi Dr. Saul Haimoff PsyD, a clinical psychologist who has also co-authored a book on Torah and Mental Health. Rabbi Dr. Bin Goldman PsyD, a clinical psychologist with over two decades of experience and formerly a high school rebbi. And Rabbi Dr. Yosef Sokol PhD, a clinical psychologist and suicide prevention and recovery specialist.
We recognize that it can be difficult to attend all of the sessions live, so each class will be recorded and emailed to all registrants, available for a limited time period. This ensures that, even if you miss a session, the information remains accessible to you.
Best of all, this course is co-sponsored by MASK and is completely free of charge!
