Online Smicha Celebrates Chag Hasmicha

The special Chag Hasmicha event, celebrated for one of the Smicha groups who have dedicated much time and efforts over the last two years to learn and understand the materials, was held in upstate New York, with the participation of Rabbi Ezra Schochet, Rosh Yeshiva of Yeshiva Ohr Elchonon Chabad in Los Angeles, as well as other Rabbonim and Shluchim.

Speakers emphasized the importance of learning Halacha and understanding its roots, and the beauty that is to see busy individuals taking time during and after work to study Halacha and understand it properly. The Rabbonim testing the group were very impressed with their knowledge and fluency of the Halachos.

Rabbi Schochet emphasized the importance of their commitment to their study, and spoke about the great responsibility that comes with obtaining the title and the living examples the Musmachim should now have.

Following the remarks from Rabbi Schochet, the mushmachim shared their own takeaways from their study, many bringing examples of areas that the study of Halacha impacted them in their own personal lives.

Concluding the event was Rabbi Nachman Wilhelm, Rosh Yeshiva and founder of the program. Rabbi Wilhelm, who has been involved with the talmidim in a personal manner this entire time, urges them to continue their daily learning of torah and specifically Halacha.

Machon Lehoraa Online Smicha is known for its unique style of high level and interactive learning, not compromising on proper understanding of the Halachos, and keeping it like a real classroom with lively discussions.
