Rabbi Leibel Posner A”H Through The Lens of JEM

One of the oldest Chassidim of our time, Rabbi Posner served as a precious living link to earlier generations. He was privileged to see the Previous Lubavitcher Rebbe, and would often recount vivid stories from that period, along with numerous personal memories of the early years of the Rebbe’s leadership in America. Notably, his own wedding was the first that the Rebbe officiated after formally accepting the mantle of leadership.

The JEM team was privileged to record hours of these memories. In winter 2006, Rabbi Posner graciously sat with our team for an extensive interview, sharing detailed recollections that became a treasured part of JEM’s archives. His testimony also proved invaluable in JEM’s Early Years video series, which chronicles the formative years of the Rebbe, Rabbi Menachem M. Schneerson, and his wife, Rebbetzin Chaya Mushka.

Through these recordings and publications, Rabbi Posner’s voice will continue to connect future generations to these foundational moments in history.
