To Flip A County, The Jewish Community of Kingston, PA May Flip Luzerne County

by CrownHeights.info

It’s a rare situation in the United States where a small community of Jews, in this case Lubavitchers, hold the cards to flip a County across political party lines. In the present climate, Kingston, PA may just have that opportunity.

According to reporter Zito Salena posted on X, as of this morning Luzerne County is now a majority Republican registered voter County, with Republicans holding the lead by just 87 votes. For the few hundred families of Kingston, PA, located in Luzerne County, this puts them in the center of a political battle, with them holding the cards.

According to Salena, last Monday Democrats were holding the lead by a thread at 200 registered voters more than Republicans. Just a couple of years ago Democrats had 34,000 more registered voters than Republicans in Luzerne.

This also has ramifications possibly larger than just Luzerne, with the presidential election quickly approaching and Pennsylvania being a swing state.
