New Sefer Torah Celebrated in New Haven
On Sunday, the 4th of Tammuz, a Hachnasat Sefer Torah was held in New Haven, Connecticut, with local rabbis, the local Jewish community, and many guests.
The last letters of the Torah scroll were completed at the home of businessman Shmuel Eisenberg, one of the donors of the Sefer Torah. Following the completion, the Torah was accompanied through the streets of New Haven, accompanied by procession with torches and headed by the Torah scroll.
The participants entertained by guitarist Yoni Lorber and Yehuda Piamenta. The procession was followed by a festive Seudat Mitzvah.
