A European YouTube sensation with over 1.3 million subscribers wasn’t expecting to come across a pair of Tefillin when he bought a bulk lot of unclaimed items from Schiphol Airport in Amsterdam.

The YouTuber, whose YouTube identity is DagelijksHaaDee, videoed the entire process. From the auction, to looking through his finds, the 32 minute video is full of surprises. At the 21 minute mark, the video shows him finding the Tefillin, and opening them in bewilderment.

The Tefillin, with both Rashi and Rabeinu Tam inside, had the name Naftali Lipsker written in hebrew on the bag.

A quick acting Lubavitcher named Elimelech Evers took action and contacted the YouTuber, meeting him and buying back the Tefillin for €180.

The Tefillin had been stolen from a locker in Schiphol Airport.
