Frankfurt Yeshiva Celebrates 15 Years with New Torah

The Chabad Yeshiva of Frankfurt, Germany, celebrated its 15th year anniversary with a Siyum Sefer Torah, dedicated by Vladi Izraelit in memory of Lev ben Grisha. “A Simcha like this hasn’t been seen in Frankfurt for many years,” said a Jewish community leader who was in attendance.

The event began at 2:00pm in the great Westend Synagogue (one of only two Shuls that survived WWII), as guests and friends of the Yeshiva gathered together and said l’chaim. Then the Torah was completed by the Rabbanim and community leaders.

The atmosphere by the event only got better when a handful of Alumni of the Yeshiva from all over Europe came to join in the celebration, in addition to Shluchim who came from all over Germany and Europe.

With music and dancing, the Toarh was carried thought the street to the Shteibel (a Side Shul in the Westend Synagogue where the Yeshiva is located), where a lively Hakafos was held.

Afterwards, the Shluchim, bochurim and community members and leaders sat down for a Seudas Mitzvah.
