Yud Shvat with the Frierdiker Rebbe’s Coat

As a preparation for Yud Shvat, all the students of Lubavitcher Yeshiva-Crown St. took upon themselves Hachlotos and wrote a personal Pa”n to the Rebbe and read it at the Ohel. On the day of Yud Shvat, a special surprise awaited them at school.

On Yud Shvat, the Talmidim gathered for special gatherings with inspiration to harness the Kochos from this special day.

At the gathering for the older grades, led by Rabbi Wilschanski, the Talmidim were delighted to listen to Rabbi Sholom Ber Schapiro, son-in-law of Rabbi Nissan Mindel, as he shared inspiring stories of the Friediker Rebbe and the Rebbe. The Talmidim felt a part history when Rabbi Schapiro showed all the Talmidim the actual coat which the Frierdiker Rebbe wore for many years. Every Talmid had the opportunity to see and feel the coat from up close.

The 8th grade had their own Farbrengen with Rabbi Simpson and Rabbi Schapiro, after which the 8th graders as well had the chance to see and feel the Friediker Rebbe’s coat.

Why are some little boys wearing coats at the rally?? Aren’t they uncomfortable? How can their coats keep them warm outside when they’re being worn inside??

    Lucky boys!
The boys look like their loving it.
Why didn’t WE get all this when we were kids?

My son came home and repeated the stories he heard from Rabbi Schapiro.
The boys really appreciate everything that is done for them.
A big Yasher Koach to Rabbi Simpson and all of the Lubavitcher Yeshiva staff.

I believe it says “Horeinu Schneerson”, and under it, “1929”. The month and day looks a bit rubbed out.
