Rabbi Simcha Zirkind’s Life in Photos

Rabbi Zirkind was a charismatic rabbi, who made it the goal of his life to make a difference in people’s lives.

He greeted every individual with smile and an encouraging word. He was unbashful with his mission and goal and did anything to reach it. While

While he would rather sit and study all day, he was guided by the Rebbe, to dedicate his life to others, just with one caveat: continue to maintain a rigorous study routine. Which is what he always kept to doing.

Over the years he made it his mission to bring thousands of Jews to the Rebbe to ask for his advice and guidance. Every words of the Rebbe was precious to him and thus he initiated the publishing the Advice for Life series in the last ten years of his life. Here you will find some of the photos of him in the Rebbe’s court.

The photos are from his as a travelling rabbi (with Rabbi Moshe Feller) as a part of the Chabad peace corps, to being a head counselor in Camp Gan Israel in Montreal, QC, and to his Tunisian passport.

Always looking to assist another, he paved the road for Chabad in the Canadian parliament, where he and his son Rabbi Mendy are there to help anyone in need.

As the photos tell, he held a special place in the hearts of many of the Canadian prime ministers, who always greeted him with a warm smile, listening to every word he passionately spoke.

    What a amazing man he was. I remember him as a bochur. He was a true Yid to klall Yisroel, & to his family. He will be missed.
