Kehot Prepares for Hei Teves, the Festival for Seforim

In anticipation of the upcoming Festival for Sefarim – Hei Teves, a huge shipment of Seforim and books are now arriving at the Kehot Publication Society warehouses.

More than 36 new and out-of-print titles, comprising some 50,000 books, will be added to the already bursting-at-the-seams inventory at the Kehot Showroom on the corner of Eastern Parkway and Kingston Avenue.

Amongst the books to be made available are: Tzavaat Harivash by the Baal Shem Tov; Imrei Binah, Pirush Hamilos, Shaarei Ohra, Ner Mitzvah, Ateres Rosh, a new edition of Derech Chaim and a brand new Igrot Kodesh–all by the Mitteler Rebbe; the classic Chasidic journal Hatomim; and fifteen volumes of the Rebbe’s Igros Kodesh.

Of special interest is the just arrived Studies In Rashi: Shemot. The second in a series, Studies in Rashi, contains one complete essay on each of the parshos of Chumash Shemot. Translated from the Rebbe’s famous Rashi sichos by RabbiEliezer Danzinger, the essays are presented, for the first time, in a bi-lingual Hebrew/English format.

Continuing the excitement of the 200th anniversary of the Alter Rebbe, the new voluminous set of Maamarei Admur Hazaken as well as a new printing of Lessons in Tanya will also be on sale.

“This year’s Hei Teves sale will be doubly rewarding as seforim lovers will have a breathtaking array of choices, from new to old titles, as we work towards the goal of bringing the entire Kehot and Merkos backlist back in print,” says sales and distribution director Rabbi Avrohom Holtzberg.

The mega sale will run from Sunday, 3 Teves, through Thursday, 7 Teves.

Meanwhile, salvage work continues at Kehot’s Long Island warehouse which is still reeling from damage inflicted by Hurricane Sandy.

Orders can be placed online at Kehot.com as well.
